We are taking part in Dartford's "Going on a Bear Hunt Trail" to raise money for ellenor charity.
Ellenor are an amazing charity who proivde hospice care to young people and adults across the local community.
As part of the trail, our team has decorated a bear that will be displayed in Darford alongside other designs from local organisations and community groups.

Crownwood Care Home recently allowed workers to bring in some of their dogs for the residents to enjoy. Our Supported Intern, Kasie, loved interacting with the dogs and supporting residents as they spent time with them.
It was a lovely opportunity for Kasie to build confidence, communication, and care skills in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
The visit brought plenty of smiles to residents, staff, and Kasie alike. Well done, Kasie! 🐶

Are you an employer and looking for no-cost methods for supporting the community?
Supported Internships, may be the answer!
The programme is FREE and includes on-site Job Coach support for the intern and the employer. The Job Coach will work with your team to ensure that your needs are accomodated as well as the intern.
By taking on a Supported Intern you give a young person with SEND a chance they otherwise may have never gotten.
So if you're open to offering a placement, we'd love to hear from you!

Yesterday evening, Forward2Employment attended Dartford Living Live, a fantastic free networking event for local businesses and charities.
We had some great discussions with local employers about our Supported Internship programme and how they can get involved by offering meaningful work placements for young people with SEND.
Thank you to Dartford Living for hosting such a welcoming and valuable event!

After quite some time apart, our two hard-working administrators were finally reunited and shared a heartfelt hug.
It is a lovely reminder that behind all the emails, spreadsheets, and day-to-day organisation is a team that geuninely cares about one another.
A small moment, but one that brought a big smile to everyone's faces! 😀
Small business owner Darren Everest recently took on Supported Intern Peter at his company, DAKS Plumbing Ltd.
At first, Darren was sceptical about the programme, but he decided to "give it a go".
Peter was very shy at the beginning and found it difficult to speak with customers. However, as his internship progressed, he developed new skills, grew in confidence, and became much more comfortable interacting with customers.
Darren has since seen the real value of Supported Internships, not only for young people with SEND, but for employers too.
His advice to other employers is simple: "Give it a go! You've got nothing to lose!"
