Interesting science chat on radio 4 today (26th march) “Inside science” 21.00 -21.30.
The whole episode on covid-19. The last few minutes are about covid and dogs. Interesting, and in my view, comforting. Very worth a listen. You can find on BBC sounds catch up. Take care all. 🐾
[03/24/20] I might well be posting up about home grooming, and coat care to keep you all going through the next few weeks. Maybe even a video?!
[03/24/20] Inevitably from today I have had to close the salon for the foreseeable future. We will all get through these strange times, and I will be here to look after all your very fluffy dogs when we are allowed back out again. Wishing you all a very safe time. Stay in, stay safe, look after yourself and your animals. much love. 🥰👐🐩🐾
Hello all, hope you all staying as safe as possible. I plan to keep on working as long as possible. To help all of us, I will be putting the following procedures in place. maybe a good idea to have your mobile with you so we can chat!
1. At your appointment time, please open the gate and let your dog in and let it off its lead and collar, and take it home with you. I will be ready to collect as soon as you close the gate with my own lead. The gate will be locked if I am not ready for you.
2. I will wash and groom as usual and when we have communicated that your dog is ready I will release back into the garden when you are ready to come in and collect.
3. Payment please whenever possible by bank transfer, if you wish to bring cash you still can.
This is all for your safety. Please be assured that if at any time I feel unwell I will be closing for the appropriate time.
love to you all. thanks for your continued support. x

⚠️⚠️ATTENTION DOG OWNERS UPDATE 26.11.2019 POSSIBLE SECOND CASE OF CRGV ‘ALABAMA ROT’⚠️⚠️
We are saddened to report that a patient of ours has died from a confirmed case of CRGV (Cutaneous and renal glomerular vasculopathy) also known as ‘Alabama Rot’ and we now have a likely SECOND Case. The second dog was sadly put to sleep on Saturday 23.11.19 and we are awaiting post-mortem results to confirm our strong suspicion that this patient was also suffering from CRGV.
The first signs of CRGV is often unexplained lesions or redness particularly but not exclusively on the legs or paws. In some unfortunate cases these lesions can then lead to renal (kidney) failure. Whilst we recommend seeking veterinary advice if you discover any unexplained lesions on your dog, we wish to reassure our clients that there may be many causes such as a sting, wound or cut that are not related to CRGV. However, due to the possibilities of having two cases if your dog does have a lesion of unknown origin we will be recommending to do blood work to check kidney function and possibly repeating it 24-48hours later.
BOTH dogs lived in the Southwater area and had been walking on the Downslink from West Grinstead towards Henfield in the week before they became ill but as of yet we do not know the cause of CRGV and so can not speculate as to whether this is relevant or not. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call us.
We offer our sincere condolences to our clients and their families.

Super proud of this little dude. He’s just one year old, had his fifth groom today and he’s come such a long way. to start he was spinning, licking my face, being a total sweet puppy, but a nightmare to groom with scissors and clippers on a moving target. Well with the help of likimats ( one on the other side of the table in the photo), TTouch touches, lots of brushing at home by his mum, and gentle approaches. Superstar❤️🐾⭐️
Little love. Barbara 🥰
Loving my new lead hooks!
Groomed these two beauties yesterday. ❤️🐾🐩
