Music Monday - What band absolutely blew your mind when you first heard them?

For 13 year old me it was Tool - I still remember my first time hearing Stinkfist on a mixtape and just thinking what is happening right now 😮 although thankfully I didn't know what the lyrics meant (mum please don't look them up 😬). Maynard James Keenan remains one of my big vocal influences.

Then around 16 or 17 I heard Children of Bodom - not only my intro to melodic death metal but also is that a harpsichord or are you just pleased to see me 🧐. Really opened my mind as to what kind of things could work together. Saw them live several times in the early Bloodstock days and they didn't disappoint. RIP Alexi 🖤
