Feeling very blessed, full of joy, delicious food and hot chocolate after a beautiful weekend in Walsingham at Dowry House. The Sister’s from Community of Our Lady of Walsingham really looked after us! We highly recommend a trip to Walsingham and a stay at Dowry House! #OurLadyOfWalsingham #PrayForUs #Walsingham #DowryHouse #COLW

It was so good to welcome young adults from Sheffield for a retreat in Walsingham this weekend! The Sisters were also delighted to offer hospitality around their fire pit with hot chocolate and toasted marshmellows! Can't wait to see you all again soon!

Fr Lee's reflected on Sunday how Jesus bears the wounds of the crucifixion and how they no longer cause him pain. And how the wounds we carry with the help of Christ can be healed, we may still carry these scars but they shape who we are and we can be set free!

Holy Week 2021.pdf

Joseph from our Catholic Society has written a reflection for Holy Week, of Jesus purification of the Temple. Which you can download at the link below.

This Holy Week let us try and spend more time in prayer in Jesus' House, to prepare ourselves for the Triduum so we may be filled with peace and be truly present as we journey through Christ in his Crucifixion, Death and Resurrection.

"Today is the first anniversary of lockdown when our churches had to close for several months. To mark this day, the Bishops have asked us to keep churches open; at SVMH we have had Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament all day. We encourage you to reflect on the last year and how our lives, our faith and our appreciation for all we have has all grown over this time.
Also, to remind us of our community spirit which shone through during the lockdowns of 2020-21 I am challenging you to do some kind of act of kindness today it could be:
Phoning that person you haven't heard from in a while.
Thanking your family and friends for their support over the last year.
Buying a homeless person a meal.
Or even praying for our most marginalised at this time.
Today I also invite you to pray the Rosary for Our Blessed Lady's intercession in our lives as she is the Mother who watched Jesus suffer and we ask for her comfort and guidance when we see others suffering."
~ Joshua Glicklich, Catholic Society President.
