Today 18 fire engines - part of a 22-vehicle convoy - packed with 5,000 items of kit & equipment - set off to Poland, to assist firefighters in Ukraine. NFCC Chair says it was a 'humbling experience' following a huge effort from fire services, NFCC, FIRE AID and the industry.

'Outstanding' Greater Manchester Fire Service officer found dead, aged 49 Flags at all fire stations across two counties have been lowered following the death of Assistant Chief Fire Officer Steve Morgan
Hoax calls cost lives as the stop the Emergency Services going where really needed. Please only call when really needed, we are here to help πππ
Yesterday we attended to a patient in Lancashire β when the crew got there it turned out to be a hoax call.
Making a 999 call for anything that isnβt a life-threatening or serious emergency puts lives at risk by taking up valuable time and resources and is frustrating for those responding. What may seem like a laugh and a joke can have extremely serious consequences, itβs really important we spread the message to respect the 999 service and only use it when really needed. While our crews are responding to a hoax call, they are unable to respond to those that really need their help.
