On the right is a confectionery and to***co shop owned by Emma Stocks. Next door is the Kings Arms Inn.
On the corner of Ferry Road (to the left) is Longley Brothers, a grocery shop.

Boots the Chemist opened in Rye in December 1934. The new shop included a library too.
The original store was located at No.25 High Street, which is now home to Rye Bookshop.

On the right is Frank Jarrett's shop selling groceries and wine (now Nationwide Building Society). Next door (to the left) is Anthony Vincett & Son, a florist and seed seller.
