What an incredible day!

Last week we had 160 pupils from 9 schools across Birmingham join us for a Sustainable Energy Study Day. The feedback from teachers and students was fantastic with over 90% of pupils saying that the event has encouraged them to consider further education in a STEM field.

Sessions covered topics ranging from advanced materials and nuclear energy to bioenergy and autonomous vehicle innovation.

"The overall event was brilliant, extremely inspiring and encouraging towards STEM careers. It gave me a positive outlook in my outreach in physics and I thoroughly enjoyed the material science session :) "

Special thanks to our speakers and panellists who generously shared their expertise: Tim Hall and Chris Ellins from Total Flow Ltd, Prof. Alessandro Mottura from Birmingham University, Prof. Wade Allison from Oxford University, Prof. Patricia Thornley from Aston University, Emily Ly from National Gas Transmission and David Keene from Aurrigo Ltd.

Thanks also to our supporters, the Ironmongers Foundation, and King Edward's School for hosting.
