Why We Chose Ryde
We have known for a very long time that our feet are critically important to our balance and posture on the ground. Yet, for some reason, many of us equestrians seem to think those simple biomechanics magically change the moment we get in the saddle.
Spoiler alert: they don't.
For years we searched for a stirrup that truly worked with the rider, rather than expecting the rider to adapt to it. Then, almost as if by magic, we discovered Ryde in Sweden.
Like every rider, we all come with our own collection of asymmetries, habits and little bits of wonkiness. (Go on, admit it — not one of us is perfectly symmetrical!) What amazed us was how Ryde's three simple adjustment points seemed to wave a magic wand over those imbalances. Suddenly we were riding in our balance, not compensating for ourselves through our horses.
One of the questions we hear all the time is:
"But will they work for me?"
The answer is a very easy yes.
The beauty of Ryde is that they aren't designed to force every rider into the same position. They are designed to work for you. Your body. Your asymmetries. Your way of moving.
Can they emulate other stirrups? Absolutely. But that's not really the point.
