Around the world, education systems are under huge pressure to improve outcomes, support educators, and achieve more with less. This week, the Education World Forum (EWF) brought together those who are addressing these challenges around the globe.
Yesterday, we spoke to our CEO (Interim) Sarah Farquhar about why EWF is such a special event to be a part of, and how edt’s partnerships reflect a running theme throughout the conference: commitment to a shared ownership of change.

The Education World Forum (EWF) 2026 has officially begun, and we are thrilled to be here amongst a wide range of education leaders and experts from around the world.
At this year’s event, against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving education and development landscape, we are exploring the power of partnering with purpose to drive real change for learners. We ask: what is YOUR biggest challenge, and how can we work together to co-design and implement sustainable solutions that actually last?
Our team is delighted to be attending EWF to explore the most pressing questions of today when it comes to education and employability. At our stand and our ministerial breakfast on Tuesday 19th May, we will be engaging with ministers, policymakers and partners on what it takes to turn reform into results.
Come and visit us at Stand S6 to join the conversation with our team:
Sarah Farquhar (CEO (Interim))
Tony McAleavy (Chief Education & Skills Officer)
Sabine Nguini (Director of Consultancy Delivery)
Clare Buntic (Lead Adviser, System Strengthening)
Marion Smallbones (Lead Adviser, Insights and Innovation).
Plus, keep an eye on our channels to hear more from leading voices at edt on why partnering with purpose is the key to lasting change, and how we work strategically with organisations around the world to achieve it.
