Throwback to my wedding day, with my bridesmaids in BLACK 🖤

At the time, I had so many comments about choosing black for my bridesmaids — a colour that really hadn’t been seen at weddings in the way it is today.

But black has always been my favourite colour. To me, it’s timeless, elegant and a true classic. 🖤

And then there was the fact I chose to have the wedding celebration in a “tent”! 😂

As a family, we all loved the idea of a marquee wedding and we certainly didn’t let the “tent” comments put us off! I’m an outdoors girl, so I always wanted a setting close to the water, surrounded by a beautiful backdrop.

But here’s the thing… it was MY vision.

It was what I had dreamed of and planned, and I wanted my wedding day to reflect my style and the vision I had in my head.

Would I choose exactly the same things now? Probably not! 😂 Trends change, tastes change and 18 years is a long time! But I still love looking back at what I created and seeing how true it was to me at the time.

And that’s exactly what we believe at Findlays Events.

We listen to what YOU would like, what you dream of and what you’ve been planning. Because your event shouldn’t be about following a trend or doing what everyone else has done.
