Boccia England
Boccia England is the National Governing Body for the disability sport of boccia. Points are accumulated over the course of a match to find a winner.
Boccia is a disability sport where players aim to propel balls close to a target ball. Two sides compete as individuals, pairs or as a team of three over a set number of ends. A ball can be rolled, thrown or kicked. If a player is unable to throw or kick the ball, they can use a ramp. If players are unable to release the ball with their hands, they can use assistive devices – head/hand pointer.

Stay safe in the heatwave 🌡️
Boccia England would like to encourage our athletes, staff and volunteers to keep safe during the adverse weather.
We recommend all clubs to assess the risk individually ahead of any upcoming sessions. We also encourage everyone to check in on those in community that might find this heat more difficult.
For safety advice, please visit the government’s latest article on staying safe and cool, available here:

Team days that make a difference!
Last month, we brought Boccia to Reed Smith LLP for a corporate day, giving their staff a fun, inclusive, and competitive team-building afternoon.
A big thank you to their team for being such an enthusiastic and engaged group, it was a real pleasure to introduce Boccia, the most inclusive game in the world, to you all!

Congratulations to all of our English athletes at the Prague Open competition hosted by the Czech Boccia Federation.
It was a successful trip and set of results for the England team, including a gold medal in the BC3 Individual event for Georgina Moore and her ramp operator, Katie Price, which followed their silver medal in the BC3 Pairs competition alongside compatriots Rafael Young and David Ellis.
