Last Thursday, the SvK Financial team had the privilege of volunteering with the wonderful Countryside Connect CIC at a primary school in Derby city centre.

Countryside Connect CIC believes that every child deserves the chance to experience the countryside, connect with animals, and understand where their food comes from. Their travelling farm brings these experiences directly to schools — and with around 250 children visiting throughout the day, it was truly all hands on deck.

🐐 What the children experienced
Goat‑milking simulator — sparking curiosity and plenty of laughter
Sheep‑shearing demonstration — learning how wool is collected
Lambing Simulator – Learning how a lamb is born and general care for the sheep as part of the process
Hands‑on time with farm animals — meeting goats, sheep, chickens and more

Their excitement was infectious. Seeing them light up at each new discovery was a reminder of how powerful real‑world learning can be.

Tomorrow, the SvK Financial team will be taking part in something truly special. We’ll be volunteering with Countryside Connect CIC, an inspiring organisation that helps children experience the countryside, connect with animals, and learn where food comes from.

Through their travelling farm, Countryside Connect brings hands-on learning directly into schools, giving children the opportunity to meet farm animals, explore nature, and discover more about farming, sustainability, and food production in a fun and engaging way.

We’re proud to support a mission that opens the countryside to children who might not otherwise have the chance to experience it.

A fantastic day out for the SvK Financial team! We kicked off the morning at Wild Park in Brailsford, putting our archery skills to the test, and wrapped things up with an incredible pub lunch at The Red Lion in Hollington—where the pies were every bit as good as promised. 🎯🥧

Huge Congratulations and well done to our very own Sadie Taylor for completing the London Marathon this weekend! Sadie has put the hard yards in over the last few months of her training and got through some injuries in the process too. Sadie and husband Dan completed the marathon in memory of Sadie’s Dad, raising over £6,000 for British Heart Foundation. Well done Sadie and Dan 👏 Dad would be proud of you and we are too ❤️

Introducing Chloe Naylor...

Chloe is one of our Client Support Specialists at SvK Financial, having joined the team last summer following a successful internship.

She supports the day-to-day processing and back-office administration for the practice and is currently training to become a Paraplanner, building her technical knowledge to further support the adviser and help ensure everything runs smoothly for clients.

Chloe says, “Starting my career here has been a great experience, I enjoy being part of a supportive team and helping deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.”

With the end of the tax year fast approaching, it’s more important than ever to plan ahead. By combining proactive advice with the right digital tools, we aim to help individuals and businesses stay organised, make informed decisions, and maximise the opportunities available before the deadline.

The SvK team were delighted to attend the SJP Kickstart event in Manchester last week.

It was an inspiring and insightful day, with contributions from leaders, experts and peers across the Partnership. The Partnership Connect event helped set a clear and ambitious direction for the year ahead—strengthening our alignment with SJP’s vision and reinforcing our commitment to delivering strong client outcomes.
