Marcus Clarke is a unique Artist with an Art Practice linked to his Craft and Performance work as a Professional Puppeteer. On Canvas, Cast in Resin or Vacuum Sealed. Subject matter is Memory, Childhood and Loss. His exploration of pareidolia and apophenia has led him into a new artistic collaboration with a Puppet, Ron and they create artworks together. “Philosophy was invented when the first scoundrel met the first fool”.

This is an Artwork I created about the 60’s Anti Vietnam War Protest movement in England. Something I mostly watched as a kid on my TV. It always amazed me that the Protesters commitment and interest in the people embroiled in it ended with the War. There was no ownership of the outcomes. No responsibility. The retributions, The Boat People. Later Khmer Rouge. No protests.
Hands were washed.
Was it purely single issue, idealogical. Or the cliche response of Teenagers to having left the Party, to then leave the clearing up to someone else?
Quite a good Craft Skills explanation too.

Artists Marcus and Ron Review their visit to the British Museum's Picasso Printmaker Exhibition.
They say "Building on our successful appearance in Sky's Landscape Artist of the Year 2025 We the, Creative Arts Partnership Marcus and Ron, are developing our knowledge of art and reviewing skills by visiting lots of art exhibitions and reviewing them, as best we can.
