​That statistic is a 28% increase from 2017. By 2040, it's estimated 95% of ALL purchases will be through eCommerce platforms.
​
​I hear daily complaints about how people hate social media for various reasons, often it's 'too time consuming'. Here are my top tips that will take no longer than 1 hour a day but will maintain a growth on social media:
​
​1️⃣ Automate!! Use a scheduling tool that integrates all the platforms you're on to save yourself at least an hour a day. Don't neglect the fact you then need to engage & respond to comments regularly.
​
​2️⃣ Pick a daily mini-window of engagement. This is an important one. Reply to comments, mentions, and messages on all channels. Like 30-50 posts on other people's pages and comment on 15-30 participating in discussions. This is time consuming but is where the human element of your business shines.
​
​3️⃣ Curate more, create less! Most successful brands work on an 80:20 rule. 80% of their social shares are content that is not theirs i.e. customer pictures or market trends. 20% is their own.
​
​4️⃣ Invest. If you can afford to spend a little, look to outsource the workload. A social media manager will spend 1-3 hours per day on your account, continuously working towards achieving set goals. What would you do with an extra day a week given back to you?
