Still waiting for vaccine over 50. You're doing a cracking job as usual
Any chance of offering me a vaccination. The news states all over 50s have been offered one. No point me phoning you no one ever answers
I have had a family member telephone me upset as they have been trying to contact you this morning over 25 times but either engaged or no one answering. This is unacceptable, I have directed them to the primary care division at Llanarth House to make a formal complaint
I have tried calling four times in the past two days to request repeat prescriptions. Each time, your automated service tells me that I am โ€˜at the head of the call queueโ€™, yet each call has gone on for over 25 minutes without being answered. I cannot see how someone can take over 25 minutes on a phone call each time I need to speak to a member of staff. Once, I could possibly understand, but surely not three times?
This is simply not acceptable when I am in desperate need of vital medication.
This needs investigating urgently.
How come your phone line is CONSTANTLY engaged and not even ringing?! Its as though it is 'off the hook' or disconnected!?!

[02/14/21]   Please be patient the telephone lines are very busy. We apologise if you are held in a queue. We are trying our best in the most difficult of situations. During the pandemic we are working slightly different to keep the health and safety for our patients and work colleagues our highest priority.

[01/30/21]   ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ˜Š

THANK YOU VERY MUCH to all the patients who have attended their appointments for the COVID vaccination so far!

We have been organising clinics all week.

In just 3 weeks we have given 200 plus COVID vaccines

We are very proud of all our practice staff who are working tirelessly & giving up their own time to help organise & deliver the COVID vaccine.
We only have 1 weekโ€™s notice of the numbers of vaccines we are going to receive. We then have to organise the clinics, contact patients & give all of the allocated vaccines within that week.
This is a mammoth task on top of the normal day to day running of the surgery.

Please be patient. Please do not contact the surgery to find out when you will receive the vaccine as we need to keep our very busy phone lines free for normal surgery calls.

You will be contacted by text or phone when your time comes.

The mass vaccination clinics in Newport & Cwmbran will be vaccinating some of our patient age groups & they will contact you directly.

One day we will be able to go back to some kind of normality, until then follow the rules, stay safe, be kind to each other & practice staff.

We are trying our best in very difficult circumstances.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding๐Ÿ˜Š

-All the GPโ€™s & practice staff-

[01/20/21]   From next week (w/c 25.01.21) we will be in a position to start vaccinating specific cohorts of our patients with the Astra Zenica (Oxford) vaccination.

Patients aged 80 and over will be contacted by a staff member from Park Surgery to book their appointment. We will then move onto our "shielded patients".

The cohorts of patients are being split with the larger vaccination centres for eg Newport Leisure Centre so if you are not called to the Practice then you will be called to one of the larger vaccination centres.

Due to the way the vaccine is delivered to us and to ensure maximum usage and minimal wastage, we may need to call patients in at short notice (probably within about an hour or two) so that vaccines are not wasted due to non attenders for whatever reason.

Could we therefore please ask that patients in the 80+ age group and our shielded patients are on "stand-by" to attend the practice at short notice for a vaccination.

We thank you for your help and understanding with this.

[09/30/20]   Flu Vaccine Update
We are experiencing a high level of calls enquiring about flu vaccinations. We have invited as many patients as we possibly can to receive the current stock we have in surgery; which has been arriving in small batches. The deliveries are totally beyond our control and are an issue for many practices. We hope to have further deliveries in the next 2 weeks, and shall update our website and social media as soon as this is available to use. As per Aneurin Bevan University Health Board guidance, we have had to prioritise the first batches of vaccine for the patients who received โ€œshielding lettersโ€ earlier in the year.

We appreciate everyone is keen to get their vaccination as early as possible in these uncertain times but please try to be patient. We still have plenty of time before the usual flu months start.

Please contact the surgery for an appointment slot and for further advise.

[09/22/20]   Flu vaccine clinics are running in October please contact Park Surgery for a convenient time slot
