Oh yes. We have got the wands coming! If you’ve not made yours yet. Do not miss out! We didn’t see one kid without one on Sunday.
❤️ Doing things properly matters!
It can be incredibly disheartening when you’re a trader who spends the time, money and effort to do things properly — the right insurance, hygiene certificates, product testing, labelling and paperwork — only to see others ignore those responsibilities and still sell alongside you.
It’s easy to think:
“Why am I bothering when they aren’t?”
But compliance isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about protecting your customers, your business and your reputation. And when children’s products or food are involved, that responsibility matters even more.
🚨 “I didn’t know” isn’t an excuse.
If you choose to make and sell food, toys or other regulated products, it’s your responsibility to find out what you need before you start selling.
You wouldn’t make a lasagne from scratch without checking the ingredients, forget the pasta, then say:
“It’s fine — people are still buying it.” 😂
It doesn’t work like that.
And “but it sells” doesn’t make something safe or compliant.
If you discover you’ve missed something, learn, fix it and move forward. Nobody expects perfection — but responsibility matters.
So to every trader who is doing things properly:
Don’t let someone else’s shortcuts make you question your standards.
You’re not wasting money.
You’re not overdoing it.
You’re not being difficult.
You’re protecting the people who buy from you and building a business you can be proud of.
And honestly?
“I’ve done this properly” is worth far more than “I got away with it.” ❤️

✨ Our SENsational Festival is almost here! ✨
Our amazing SENsational Festival takes place on Sunday 6th September, and we’re getting everything ready for a fantastic day! 💙
A quick reminder for anyone who has applied but not yet paid – Monday is the final payment deadline. Unfortunately, any unpaid pitches after this date will be released to traders on our reserve list, as we currently have a number of duplicate businesses waiting for a space. Please double check junk/spam

🌟 TRADER APPLICATIONS ARE STILL OPEN FOR THE SENsational Festival 2026! 🌟
Following the incredible success of last year's event, we're so excited to be bringing back our 100% SEN-friendly Family Festival for its second year!
This isn't just another market—it's a day dedicated to creating a welcoming, calm and inclusive environment where children, young people and families can enjoy themselves without the pressures that traditional events can sometimes bring.
💙 We're looking for traders who share our values of kindness, patience and inclusion. Whether you sell sensory products, handmade gifts, toys, crafts, books, clothing, treats, or anything in between, we'd love to hear from you!
As a trader, you'll be part of an event that features:
🛍️ Fantastic local businesses
🍔 Delicious food
🏰 A bouncy castle and family entertainment
🧸 A dedicated sensory room for anyone needing a quiet space to regulate and recharge
🤝 Local autism charities and support organisations
To ensure the day remains accessible for everyone, there will be:
🔇 No loud music
🔇 No sudden loud noises or surprises
🎭 No mascots
💙 A relaxed, understanding atmosphere where every family is welcome.
Many of our traders are neurodivergent themselves or create products designed to support sensory needs, regulation and creativity. Above all, we're looking for traders who are happy to be patient, welcoming and understanding, because every visitor experiences the world differently.

All traders must hold valid Public Liability Insurance (PLI) and have any relevant legal certifications required for their business (such as food hygiene certificates, CLP labels, UKCA compliance where applicable, etc.).
To secure your place, payment is due upon receipt of your payment link. Your booking will only be confirmed once payment has been received.

About the SENsational Festival 2026
Back for its 2nd year, the SENsational Festival is our 100% SEN-friendly family fun day, created to provide a welcoming, inclusive, calm and supportive environment for everyone.
Our aim is simple — to create a place where children, young people and families can enjoy a fantastic day out without the worries and pressures that traditional events can sometimes bring.
We understand that events can be overwhelming, which is why we have carefully designed the festival with additional needs in mind. We will have a dedicated sensory room available for anyone who needs a quiet space to step away, regulate and recharge if things become too much.
The event will include plenty of fun activities, including a bouncy castle, alongside lots of amazing local traders, food, shopping and things to explore.
All traders attending are fully aware of the nature of the event and are committed to making it as inclusive and supportive as possible. They understand that every visitor is different and are happy to adapt, be patient and welcoming. In fact, many of our traders openly admit they are a little neurodivergent themselves — so they’re excited to celebrate, support and be part of such a special event!
We will also be joined by local Autism charities and support organisations, providing families with opportunities to connect, learn more about available support and meet people who understand their experiences.
To help keep the environment comfortable and predictable:
🔇 No loud music will be played
🔇 No sudden loud noises or unexpected surprises
🎭 Our mascots will not be used during this event
🧸 We focus on creating a calm and friendly atmosphere where everyone can feel comfortable.
Many of our traders go above and beyond to create sensory-friendly and neurodivergent-friendly products, including items designed to support regulation, comfort and creativity.
The SENsational Festival is more than just an event — it is a celebration of individuality, acceptance and inclusion, where families can come together, have fun and feel completely welcome.
We can’t wait to welcome you and celebrate what makes everyone unique. 💙
