We had a fantastic afternoon with Averill House Care Home on Thursday celebrating St Georges Day in style🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The sun has graced us in Newton Heath so today we have our Suncream on, listening to Music whilst watching Bowls and refreshing on a nice Chocolate Milkshake 🌞🧋

We had a Lovely Easter at Brookdale View to kick it off we had a visit from our Friends Jakki and John who got everyone in the Bank Holiday Mood. They brought us Gifts that went to our Staff and Resident Easter Egg hunt around the Unit. Our residents also recieved their Tasty Treats and enjoyed the Easter Weekend in style.

At Brookdale View, we are proud to focus on person-centred care, making sure our residents always have a voice in the life of our home. One of the ways we do this is by encouraging residents to lead and shape the activities they enjoy most.
We’re excited to introduce our Resident-Led Clubs, where our residents share their interests, passions and knowledge with others in the home.

🎨 Wendy’s Colouring Club
Every Tuesday morning – a relaxing and creative start to the day
⚽ Neil & Michael’s Sporting Memories
Every other Friday, discussing a different sporting topic each time
The first session will be The 1966 World Cup on 3rd April
📖 David’s Bible Studies
Every Wednesday at 2pm in the Activity Room

🙏 Mama’s Bible Corner
Every day at 12pm (except Wednesdays)
🍺 Victor’s “Transform the Lounge into a Pub” Day
The last Friday of every other month, starting in May – with pub games, quizzes and a great atmosphere!
Alongside these clubs, we also run our usual daily activities, although these may sometimes change depending on visiting singers, trips and special events.
We’re proud to create a home where residents lead the way and their interests shape the community we share together. ❤️
