👥 Supporting safer communities in Oldham

We’ll be attending a Police and Communities Together (PACT) meeting this Thursday, 6-8pm at Sholver Community Centre.

Our colleague Imran will be joining community leaders, an ASB officer and the neighbourhood policing team to discuss local priorities, including:

✅ preventing anti-social behaviour (ASB)
✅supporting communities following Operation Vulcan
✅identifying local issues and sharing updates

We’re also working in partnership with Greater Manchester Police and Oldham Council to tackle fly-tipping across our neighbourhoods. ♻️

These meetings help strengthen partnership working and ensure we continue to respond to the needs of our communities.

🏡 First social rent and shared ownership handovers at Fitton Hill

🙌We are pleased to announce that we have handed over four new properties at Fitton Hill - the start of a summer of new homes for social rent and shared ownership to complete at the site.

🏘️They are among the 29 affordable homes being built for us by Vistry on the former school site at Rosary Road.

📅After that, three to four houses will be handed over every week until all 29 three and four-bedroom homes are with us by mid July.

ℹ️This is part of a wider £15.7 million investment in 101 new homes across two sites – our second largest development to date. It also supports our ambition to build at least 600 new homes in our communities in the coming years.

🚧 Work is already underway on the nearby greenfield site, which will deliver a further 72 homes by the end of 2027.
