There is a LOT of work going on behind the scenes - and that's just trying to manage 3 children, a German Shepherd, and two chronic illnesses!

Designs are coming along and we are getting closer and closer to setting a firm launch date!

We want to sample every item before going live, this is to ensure the quality that we would want as consumers ourselves. In addition, we want real life photos of the products and not just AI mock ups.

If anyone is interested in ordering a sample at cost price in exchange for photos to use on our socials, DM us! We have designs for babys, toddlers and adults.

So please, if you like what you see, follow along and we will share as much of the journey to live launch as we can!

✨ Welcome to Roux & Thread✨

Here is a little bit about us, the family behind the (hopefully successful) business!

I’m Sophie - the main brain behind Roux & Thread. I graduated last year with a 1st in Sociology and Criminology, I have an academic mind but with chaotic delivery. I have Type 1 Diabetes, Bipolar and an addiction to Monster Ultra.

Then there is Martin - husband, dad, accidental creative director, and the inspiration behind half of the questionable phrases you will see on our clothing. He’s autistic, brutally blunt, unintentionally hilarious, and possesses the kind of dark humour that makes strangers pause for a second before laughing.

Our tiny chaos coordinators:
🩷 S (6) - sassy, dramatic, funny, and professionally offended by most foods.
💚 J (17m) - sensitive, fiercely independent, and determined to do absolutely everything himself… despite lacking both the size and skill set.
🩷 R (5m) - the final baby completing our “2 under 2” era with only 12 months and 5 days between them, because apparently we enjoy psychological warfare.
🐩 Lady (4) - perfect family pet, pathetic guard dog.

Roux & Thread was created for the overstimulated parents.
The anxious parents.
The exhausted parents.
The ones silently muttering “what the actual f*ck” under their breath while cutting someone’s toast into the wrong shape.

Our clothes say the things parents think… but usually don’t have the balls to say out loud.

Creating a business that works around our family, our neurodiversity, my disabilities, and the general rollercoaster of life means everything to me.

So here is to the parents who love their kids, but still sometimes want to launch them out the window.
