“Time has burned” is an exhibition showing nine works themed on the concept of reimagining time and distance, and to not be confined in a space. The works are inspired by Etel Adnan’s poem “Time” and the Japanese philosophical concept Ma. The exhibition will be curated by Emi Kubota and Abigail Alvarez and marks the first time the work of these artists is being brought into dialogue. The exhibition aims to explore themes surrounding spirituality, displacement, blending human and natural elements as described by the aforementioned poet and 間 (Ma) a void of boundary for people to grow.
