๐Ÿ‘ BulliesOut are proud to be taking part in this years anti-bullying week, with a brand new theme

The Anti-Bullying Alliance has officially launched the theme for 2026: ๐Ÿ’ฌ Break the Silence

Taking place from 16โ€“20 November, this yearโ€™s campaign will encourage children, young people and adults to start conversations about bullying behaviour, speak up, listen and take action together.

The theme was developed with the anti-bullying sector and shaped by the voices of more than 200 young people.

With bullying behaviour still affecting thousands of children and young people, this yearโ€™s message has never felt more important.

We wholeheartedly agree with Dr Chatterjee - the outdoors, nature, supportive nutrition, hydration and better sleep routines are what make the exams period a less stressful experience for most students (and parents/guardians). And weโ€™re a huge fan of flashcards and using handwritten notes for revision purposes.

In fact, a 2024 study published in Frontiers in Psychology found that handwriting with a pen or pencil boosted brain connectivity across regions associated with memory formation, compared with typing the same words. As Dr Chatterjee suggests a walk with flashcards can help to improve retention and recall - the best part is handwritten notes (getting away from the keyboard is, it turns out, genuinely beneficial โ€“ and the science backs it up) - our expert teachers have been working with this simple technique for over 25 years, and our learners have not only improved their revision process but their handwriting, a skill that we are very pleased to support in lifelong learning.

Wishing your son, and everyone taking their GCSE and A-level exams all the very best.

Try your best, and remember that the results do not define you - they certainly help open doors - however, if you donโ€™t have the results you hoped for, itโ€™s okay. There are further opportunities available to you - just do your best in this season.

Weโ€™re on hand for any educational support queries, do reach out via our website. Weโ€™d recommend checking out Dr Chatterjeeโ€™s work and his books.
