Retrobot’s Christmas Caper – ZX Spectrum Next – Level 48 Productions Yesterday, we released a new teaser game for our upcoming game, “O”. This is what Chris Wilkins said in a Facebook post:

Welcome to the first in a series of music demos for the ZX Spectrum Next by Level 48, a name for 2 guys who love making music and coding.

Featuring 9-channel AY music by Paul Hesso, written in NextDAW, and code and graphics by myself. There are 5 tracks in this demo, which can be selected by pressing the relevant numbered key:

With each track are unique visual effects in the sky and the panel above the steering wheel for you to enjoy while you listen. The track currently playing will loop until another track is selected.

There are also 2 independent text scrollers running at different speeds and with different fonts, scrolling stars in the background, a volume meter and 2 independent zooming checkerboards.

Turn your speakers up, enjoy the demo, and we look forward to releasing more for you to enjoy!
