Kieron is a Youth Worker at Southwick Neighbourhood Youth Project (SNYP) in Sunderland. A place that means far more to him than just a job, and represents a community he’s proud to be part of.
He grew up in Hendon, a place that’s shaped who he is today. Reflecting on his experiences, he says, “Home, for me, had its rough moments.” Those experiences now help him build genuine connections with the young people he supports.
SNYP is a vital community hub, using the power of sport to support young people while also helping local families with essential support. With backing from Comic Relief, through StreetGames and The Bread and Butter Thing, families can access affordable weekly groceries - helping ensure there’s food on the table for those who need it most.
Communities like this are why Jill is taking on this challenge for Sport Relief. Every mile helps to fund local projects like SNYP. Because home isn’t just where we live, it’s where we feel we belong.
