Business owner life currently consists of:
Emails, deliveries, phone calls, and discovering the engineer appointment you were told was booked… was never actually booked in 😅
At least it’s keeping life interesting 👌

This week has felt very real 😅
840kg of flooring is now in the unit and ready to install 👊
I spent Saturday on a First Aid course (which I honestly loved), boxes have completely taken over my flat, and Sunday involved an IKEA run for all the little things nobody thinks about when opening a gym 😅
It’s exciting though.
A few months ago this was all just ideas and late-night conversations… and now it’s slowly starting to come together piece by piece.
Also a huge thank you to everyone who has already returned their scheduling forms so far. It’s helping massively whilst I plan the launch timetable for The Greenwich PT 🤍
It’s chaotic, exciting and occasionally overwhelming…
but we’re getting closer every single week.
Thank you for being part of the journey so far 👊

POV: Opening a gym mostly involves moving heavy things… repeatedly 😅
Last week was admin chaos.
This week is apparently me transporting half a gym around Greenwich on a trolley.
Nobody really talks about this side of opening your own space.
The deliveries.
The organising.
The endless back and forth.
The “how is there STILL more stuff to move?” moments.
But honestly… seeing it slowly come together is a pretty good feeling.
Every trip up to the unit makes it feel a little bit more real.
Not long now.
Jennifer started training with me for one simple reason —
She kept hearing about age-related muscle loss and didn’t want to just sit back and let it happen.
And that’s where a lot of people stay…
They know it matters, but they don’t actually act on it.
Since committing to training each week, here’s what’s changed:
→ She has more energy day to day
→ She no longer feels sluggish
→ She feels physically stronger than she used to
But this is the bit I love most…
She’s now lifting weights she didn’t think she’d ever be able to lift.
And outside the gym?
She can climb multiple flights of stairs without getting out of breath — something that used to stop her.
That’s the difference.
This isn’t about “just exercising”
It’s about building a body that actually supports you as you get older.
And Jennifer is a perfect example of what happens when you stop just thinking about it… and actually commit.

Do I need to train loads to actually see a difference?”
“I don’t have time to be in the gym every day”
“I just want to feel better, not train like an athlete”
I hear this all the time.
And honestly — you don’t need loads.
What you do need is consistency.
The goal isn’t to smash yourself into the ground.
It’s to give your body a reason to adapt.
For most people, that looks like:
→ Training 2–3 times per week
→ Lifting weights that actually challenge you
→ Progressing gradually (not randomly)
That’s it.
Because when you do that consistently:
You build strength
You improve energy
You make everyday life feel easier
This is exactly what we focus on in sessions.
Not doing more for the sake of it…
Doing the right things, consistently.
And that’s when everything starts to change.
Hard pill to swallow:
You don’t lose strength just because you’re getting older…
You lose it because you’re not using it.
I hear this all the time:
“I just feel weaker than I used to”
“I get tired so quickly now”
“I don’t have the energy anymore”
But when you actually look at what’s going on day to day, it’s usually this:
→ Not lifting anything challenging
→ Avoiding effort because it feels hard
→ Moving less without even realising it
And over time… that adds up.
That’s when things start to feel harder than they should:
Getting up the stairs
Carrying shopping
Even just getting through the day without feeling drained
The frustrating part?
Most people think it’s just “age” and accept it.
But it’s not.
Your body will keep what you ask it to keep.
Strength, energy, fitness… it’s all still there to build.
You just have to give it a reason.
One of my clients came to me after being referred to the gym by her GP due to osteoarthritis and some health concerns.
She’d wanted to improve her fitness for a while…
But hadn’t found a place where she felt comfortable.
She tried some group sessions…
But realised working one-to-one suited her much better.
Since we started working together, she’s:
Built strength
Improved her balance
Gained confidence
But this is what stood out most to me:
👉 “It’s changed my outlook on ageing in a positive way.”
That’s not about doing more.
It’s about:
The right level
The right approach
And being treated as an individual
Fitness isn’t just physical.
It’s how you feel about yourself.

This is exactly why so many people never get started.
It’s not motivation.
It’s confidence.
Most people think they just need to:
push harder
do more
try and keep up
But that’s usually where it goes wrong.
Because if you don’t feel comfortable…
You’re not going to stick with it.
What actually makes the difference is a completely different approach:
👉 Starting at the right level for you
👉 Building strength and confidence gradually
👉 Having support so you’re not second guessing everything
No pressure
No feeling like you’re out of place
No trying to keep up with anyone else
Just steady progress that actually feels achievable.
That’s how things start to change.
👉 If you’re not sure where to start, comment PLAN and I’ll talk you through it.
