The Rooftops Band
The Rooftops Band play classic rock covers, from Queen, The Beatles, ELO and many more.
Get on top of that event you’re planning with a band people are beginning to shout about – from The Rooftops. With a repertoire for any occasion, from Friday night pubs to Saturday night weddings, this hard-working crew can serve up dozens of songs spanning the greatest decades of popular music, from a slow waltz to a fast rocker, a sing-along to a big ballad – whatever your occasion demands.

Tribute bands are everywhere these days – but what does it actually mean to feel ‘real’ as a cover band? For us in The Rooftops, it’s about striking that perfect balance: playing the classics just the way you remember, but with enough of our own personality that you know it’s live and a bit unpredictable (in a good way!).
Sometimes a song deserves the kind of note-for-note treatment that would make the original proud (we’re looking at you, “Bohemian Rhapsody”). Other times, it’s about letting rip, adding a cheeky solo or spinning the groove just enough to make even the die-hards smile.
To us, authenticity isn’t about copying – it’s about believing in the music while letting our quirks shine through. After all, no two gigs are the same, and that’s exactly how we like it. Cheers from the pub!

2026 weddings are all about bringing everyone together: and we’re absolutely here for it! There’s nothing better than seeing Nan, Grandad, and your youngest cousin all belting out "Don't Stop Believin'" arm in arm while your mates organise a conga round the buffet table. The Rooftops LOVE a proper cross-generational knees-up: call us old-school, but we reckon classic rock is the one genre guaranteed to get five generations throwing questionable shapes on the dancefloor.
We’ve got the tunes for dads, mums, cool uncles, moody teens, and that little whirlwind doing laps in a sparkly waistcoat. So if you want an evening where folks aren’t just in the same room but actually having a laugh together, let’s plug in and let loose. Because classic rock weddings don’t just make memories: they usually make some cracking stories and occasionally a pulled muscle or two.

Surrey’s grassroots music venues are the lifeblood of our scene, but they’re having a tough old time right now. These small spaces are where legends get started (and where we get to knock out the odd questionable Stones cover).
If you love live music and a great night out, now’s the time to show up: go see a gig, grab a pint, tag your favourite local venue in the comments, or just tell your mates! Every ticket, drink and post makes a difference.
Let’s keep Surrey rocking and make sure our venues stick around for the big nights and dodgy solos to come. See you down the front!

Why are corporate events ditching the stale playlists and investing more in proper live entertainment this year? Turns out, no one fancies spending another night shuffling awkwardly to Barry Manilow in the corner while Janet from HR tries to convince you to join her Zumba class.
Book The Rooftops instead and watch the office transform into a full-blown rock n’ roll night out. We bring the party with classic anthems like "Don't Stop Believin'", "Satisfaction", "Wonderwall" and "Go Your Own Way" – trust us, even finance will be up and singing (after a couple drinks).
Corporate event planners, swap stuffy for legendary. You sort the suits, we’ll sort the tunes. Next time someone asks how your company culture’s doing, just tell them it goes up to eleven.

Tribute bands aren’t just for nostalgia nights anymore: they’re packing out venues all over, and we’re loving every minute of it! Classic rock never really went away, and right now, bands like us are riding the wave as covers become the main event. No wigs, no lookalike gimmicks: just seasoned musos with a proper passion for live gigs, cranking out tunes from The Stones, Elton, Oasis, and more.
There’s something magic about seeing a song you love smashed out with real energy and a few surprises thrown in, all while pint in hand. That’s why we’re here: so Surrey, if you fancy joining the classic rock revival (with extra fun and zero pretense), come find us at a pub, party, or festival near you. Let’s make it a night to remember!

Best bit about classic rock? It doesn’t care how old you are.
Nothing beats looking out and seeing three generations all singing our setlist together : grandkids, parents, grandparents… the lot. One minute it’s The Stones, then The Beatles, then Oasis, and suddenly everyone’s on the dance floor like it’s their tune (because it is).
That’s why we love what we do: big songs, big choruses, and proper family nights out.
Got a wedding, party, pub night or festival coming up in Surrey (or beyond)? Give us a shout and we’ll bring the classics (and the chaos).

Got a quieter night that needs a bit of a kick up the backside?
That’s literally our favourite kind of gig.
We’re The Rooftops , high-energy classic rock covers (70s, 80s & 90s) that get people through the door, staying for “one more”, and somehow singing the chorus like they wrote it.
If you’re a Surrey pub/venue manager with a Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday that’s a bit… tumbleweedy, let’s fix that. We’re easy to work with, quick to set up, and we play the stuff your crowd actually wants.
Fancy a chat about dates + what works for your room? Drop us a message.

Ever wondered how we bring big rock sound to every gig, whether we're squeezed in the corner of your local pub or sprawling out on a festival stage? Trick is, we don’t change the energy: just the size of the blast radius. In a packed Surrey pub, we dial in every cheeky guitar lick so it’ll rattle your pint glass and everyone’s singing along before the second chorus. At festivals, we go full stadium: massive drums, piano that could summon Elton John himself, and enough volume to make your mum's hair curl from fifty metres away. What never changes? Our love for the tunes and the no-nonsense, all-in classic rock spirit. Big venue, tiny venue: everyone gets the same dose, and we still don’t understand half our soundcheck settings. Come see us crank it up (to eleven, obviously).

Ever noticed how streaming just can’t match the chaos of a real gig? You can queue up every classic rock playlist under the sun, but nothing comes close to locking eyes with a stranger when "Don’t Stop Believin’" kicks in and the whole room belts out the chorus: off key, obviously. That spark, the shared laughs, and the dodgy dance moves? Algorithms can’t stream that.
At a Rooftops show, it's not just about top tunes from legends like The Who or Fleetwood Mac: it’s about the spontaneous moments, crowd banter, and the odd song request we probably regret agreeing to.
So if you want real, sweaty, slightly loud human connection, you know where to find us. Pub, wedding, or field: we’ll bring the magic (and possibly, earworms). See you down the front!

Turns out, the secret to getting Nan, Grandad and even your mate's six-year-old cousin dancing at your wedding isn't fancy playlists: it's LIVE classic rock. Multi-generational weddings in 2026 are all about making memories with every generation, so we tailor our set to get everyone up: Queen for the old rockers, Oasis for the 90s kids, and a bit of Elton John to keep your Auntie belting it out. Nothing brings together grandparents and grandchildren like a cracking rendition of "Don't Stop Me Now" (plus, it's scientifically proven that nobody can ignore "Satisfaction" after pie).
At The Rooftops, we take requests, tweak the energy, and make sure every guest finds their groove: even if your father-in-law claims he doesn't dance since Live Aid.
Weddings in 2026? Sorted. Just add classic rock and questionable dancing. Ready for action!!

If we didn’t love Surrey’s grassroots venues so much, we’d probably be off trying (and failing) to make it big on cruise ships by now. Truth is, the local pubs and clubs where we crank out Stones, Beatles & Fleetwood Mac tunes are the heart of live music around here. Without a place to plug in and play loud, Surrey doesn’t sound half as good.
Every time we step on stage, it’s not just to entertain – it’s to keep these music havens buzzing, to remind everyone why getting your face melted by a real band beats anything on a playlist. Support your local venue, grab a pint, and let’s make sure nights like these keep rolling. Someone’s got to keep the music tradition alive (and annoy the neighbours).
