Finding that I was fresh out of red dots for the art fair this weekend, and with the minis at a bit of a loose end, I tasked them to make some from our art supplies...
..these kids took it to the next level. 🤣

If you want a sparkly dot to go with your framed print and mini card version then I'd be happy to oblige (I think we may be using these for a while 🙂)

So this is why I might have been ignoring your texts or fogetting some key dates recently (apologies / I still love y'all.)

A little spot of tonsillitis this weekend almost derailed it but done, dusted and I am so happy to share details (and loads of pics) as and when I can - hopefully June!

It has taken close to a year of work and probably 3 or 4 iterations to get here, my "sparkly sea" print is finally complete! 🥳🌊

This is a 5 layer reduction lino print with goodness knows how many colour combos. The beach is in where I have spent many a happy summers day with family.

For those of you planning to come to organised by on Sat 8th March at St Barnabus, Southfields, I might even have a copy dry enough to bring along.

I know the weather is pretty s**t at the moment but this time of year is always full of promise as a .

All of the events to enter/book into, planning of prints to come, time sat with carving tools, hot tea and good music.

Today, working with memories of summer beaches in Cornwall, trying to get that sparkly sea just right (as well as the lurking clouds that keep us on our toes.)

Hopefully just in time to enter the Linoprint 4 competition to appear alongside some of the best printmakers in UK (and who knows, maybe the Galaxy?)

This is my entry called A Moment Between Night and Day, a 4 layer, multi-coloured reduction linoprint.

Before the heady cocktail of old Christmas pudding and Prosecco that was NYE, I managed to write up the second of my experiments with my press - this time Blind Embossing.
