Thanks to Silvia Anna Barrilà and DAMN° Magazine for speaking with Anselm Reyle for this piece about signature style. Speaking about his ceramic pieces–a notable departure from his roots in gestural abstract painting–Anselm Reyle said, "With ceramics, there’s always this element of unpredictability — I wanted to embrace the unexpected, to include chance and even error."

His solo exhibition 'Sunrise Mission' is currently on view through July 3 at Opera Gallery in London (65-66 New Bond Street, W1S 1RR)

We are pleased to present ‘The Monaco Masters Show: Chagall & Léger, la couleur et la forme’, opening on July 4th at our Monaco gallery.

Marking the 40th and 70th anniversaries of their respective passings, the exhibition explores how Marc Chagall and Fernand Léger each developed a singular visual language—dreamlike and symbolic in Chagall’s case, bold and modernist in Léger’s—through parallel journeys from Paris to the United States and the South of France.

Their works are presented alongside nearly thirty masterpieces by Monet, Picasso, Warhol, Kusama, Basquiat, and more.

Now on view at Opera Gallery Paris as part of ‘Le Féminin’, Amoako Boafo’s ‘Laced Fingers’ (2022) captures the quiet power of presence and self-definition.

Trained in Accra and Vienna, Boafo blends artistic traditions from both continents to create portraits that are bold, intimate, and deeply personal.

Painted with his fingertips rather than brushes, ‘Laced Fingers’ resists easy interpretations — balancing strength and stillness, pattern and form, all while rewriting the rules of portraiture.

On view through June 18.
