Arthur Road Dental Practice will remain OPEN during second lockdown

It has been confirmed that dentists can remain open during this new 4 week lockdown. This is welcome news for our patients and our practice. It is safe and essential to attend the dentist. We remain open to all, for both routine and emergency treatments.

It’s back to school time and we know there is so much to do right now. But don’t forget, if your child plays sports, especially contact sports they need to wear a mouthguard to prevent accidents and protect their teeth. We can provide custom made mouthguards that are comfortable, the perfect fit and in the colour of your choice.
Don’t forget, adults who play contact sports also need to wear mouthguards 😊

After several weeks of lockdown, we are delighted to announce we are OPEN 🙌 🙌 We’re looking forward to doing what we do best - looking after your oral health. For your safety and that of our staff, we have put several new measures in place, so it will feel a little different. Although we may look unfamiliar in our PPE, underneath it all, we are the same team that you have known and trusted all these years! We look forward to seeing you.

Introducing our Practice Principal, Dr Deepa Prasad

Deepa loves all things teeth and making a difference to her patients’ lives is the most rewarding part of her profession, whether it’s converting nervous patients into fans, helping them smile with confidence or everything in between!
Outside of dentistry Deepa has a passion for travel, theatre, restaurants, fitness, yoga and cooking for friends. Aswell as making the most of city life, she loves walking with family in her beloved Brecon Beacons, near where she grew up. She also does regular voluntary work with children to help give back to the local community.

We are missing all our lovely patients! Until we are allowed face to face appointments again, we want to remind you to keep up your oral hygiene and keep your smile healthy and happy.

Here are a few simple steps:

• Brush your teeth twice a day for 2 minutes using a fluoride toothpaste
• Don’t forget to brush your tongue- it will leave your breath feeling really fresh
• Clean in between your teeth with floss or Tepe brushes to get into those places the toothbrush can’t reach yet the bacteria love to home
• Don’t snack on sugary foods in between meals- easier said than done when at home in lockdown, we understand! If you must have something sweet to eat, keep it to after mealtimes
• Drink plenty of water to keep the mouth hydrated and keep up saliva levels. Saliva washes away food debris and defends against cavities

If you have an urgent dental problem, please call the practice on 0208 946 2646 and leave a message, one of our dentists will get back to you. We will be able to offer you telephone advice, practical tips and reassurance.
