CSW
As Christians, we stand with everyone facing injustice because of their religion or belief.

Yesterday, CSW staff and supporters delivered a petition signed by over 1,000 people to Nicaraguan embassies and consulates worldwide, calling for the release of Protestant pastor Efrén Vílchez López.
Pastor Efrén has been unjustly detained for four years on false charges. His faith and his criticism of the government made him a target.
We want to make it clear that Pastor Efrén has not been forgotten, so we will keep speaking out for him, and for all those in Nicaragua who are punished for their religion or beliefs.
Thank you to everyone who signed, shared, and stood with us.
This pressure matters. And we are not done yet.

Today we mark Leah Sharibu’s birthday. She's been held captive by Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) for 8 years now.
Many will know that Leah was the sole Christian in a group of 110 girls abducted from their school in February 2018. She was denied her freedom because she refused to renounce her faith, and is one of hundreds currently held in terrorist captivity in Nigeria.
Please continue to pray for Leah’s release. Ask God to comfort her mother Rebecca, her father Nathan and her brother Donald, and that next year they would celebrate Leah’s birthday together in the light of his peace and protection.
Seven religious leaders in Eritrea continue to be imprisoned incommunicado, without charge or trial, for over twenty years. Their families wait with little information, and international attention is limited.
But we remember them. We’ve been speaking out for them for 23 years, and we won’t stop now.
We will be gathering again outside the Eritrean Embassy in London to pray and protest alongside Church in Chains (Ireland), the Eritrean Orthodox Church in the UK, Human Rights Concern–Eritrea and Release Eritrea.
Will you join us on Thursday 21 May?
Where: Outside the Embassy of Eritrea.
96 White Lion Street,

CSW is calling on the Mexican authorities to conduct an urgent investigation into the case of a Protestant Christian missionary who disappeared in Guerrero State six weeks ago.
Benito Guevara Arcos, 79, was last seen on 31 March in the town of San Vicente, Chilpancingo de los Bravos Municipality, where he had travelled from the town of Ocotito to preach and give out Bibles.
He was staying with a Protestant Christian friend, who went to look for him when he did not return at nightfall. Neighbours told the friend that armed men had forced Mr Guevara Arcos into a car after taking exception to his preaching and taken him away.
You can read more details of the case in our press release below.
Please remember Mr Guevera Arcos and his family in your prayers today.

Thousands of attacks have been recorded against religious leaders throughout Colombia’s decades-long internal conflict.
Since December 2024 at least 11 religious leaders have been kidnapped or assassinated.
We want to gather 4,000 signatures by the inauguration of the new Colombian government in August 2026 and demand that the ability of religious leaders to access security protections be restored.

In March 2023, the Premier League approved rules that should bar individuals involved in human rights abuses from owning football clubs.
Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is a senior figure in the United Arab Emirates who are fuelling the war in Sudan through military and financial support to the Rapid Support Forces.
The war has plunged Sudan into one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.
➡️ Over 30 million people, including nearly 15 million children, need urgent aid.
➡️ At least 150,000 people have been killed.
➡️ More than 13 million have been displaced.
Despite the Premier League’s own rules, Mansour has not been held accountable.
Tomorrow, we’re handing in our petition to the Premier League. Signing it is a way to take action, demanding accountability and calling for an end to the war.

Seven children from the Du Merci Centres remain in the custody of Kano State authorities, despite a meeting on 15 April that was meant to finalise their return.
A document stating that the children had been returned to their adoptive parents was signed, yet the children were taken away and not released. While in state care, they have faced mistreatment, neglect, pressure to convert, and misinformation to scare them from wanting to return to the only parents most have ever known..
In January 2026, 13 year old David Solomon Tarfa died after authorities at the orphanage where he and the other children are being held failed to provide him with urgently needed medical care. His body has still not been returned to his family.
We are calling for the children’s immediate return, the release of David’s body, and an end to the harassment and trauma.
Please pray urgently that those in authority act justly and without delay.

Arsenal vs Manchester City, or both teams vs the Sudanese people? The UAE sponsors both teams AND supports genocide in Sudan. Don’t let them use sports to distract from funding mass violence.
👉 The Premier League doesn't want you to see this. Repost & tell them to ban the Manchester City owner for supporting genocide in Sudan

Today marks three years since war broke out in Sudan – three years of devastating violence between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).
These three years have plunged Sudan into one of the world’s most severe humanitarian crises – with over 30 million people in urgent need of assistance, over 13 million displaced, and at least 150,000 killed.
And a UN report released in February found that atrocities committed by the RSF in Darfur last October bore the ‘hallmarks of genocide’ – warning that more communities are at risk as fighting continues.
Action is long overdue.
Today, on the third anniversary of the conflict, your voice can be part of a louder call for justice, peace and hope.
Sign our petition. Every name helps strengthen that call.
