Compassionate Funerals

As part of Awareness Week to promote conversations around death, dying & bereavement, we are hosting the cult movie Harold & Maude at The Wanstead Curtain E11 2AR.

The plot follows a young man who is obsessed with death, and who rejects the life his detached mother prescribes for him. Harold develops a friendship, and eventual romantic relationship, with the 79-year-old Maude who teaches Harold about the importance of living life to its fullest.

The tour will start at Compassionate Funerals, where you will take our minibus to the cemetery, visiting the Church, Catacombs and Crematorium, followed by a tour of our funeral home, lunch and an informal Q&A.

The tour will give you an insight into the mechanics of funerals, deepen your understanding of the choices available and the opportunity to have all your questions answered.

This morning's funeral team included the glorious King and Arno who elegantly pulled the hearse carriage into the City of London Cemetery.

Today we took a friendly and enthusiastic group of celebrants for a 'peek behind the curtain' at The City of London Cemetery & Crematorium. We visited the old church, the crematorium, and the catacombs.

Huge thank you to Spencer and Nick for taking the time to show us round and bust some common myths around funerals.
