This time we're gathering insights from Little Scandanavia - a small US prison unit where Scandinavian practices are being applied to reduce re-offending.

Reports so far have revealed that within the unit violence is practically non-existent, staff morale is higher compared to the rest of the prison and the use of restricted housing for rule violations is down by 50%.

We'll be joined by Jordan Hyatt, the Lead Researcher of the scheme, Natasha Porter, CEO of Unlocked Graduates, Ian Blakeman, Director of the National Offender Management Service and Rachel Sylvester, Chair of The Times Education Commission to deep dive into the success of the scheme.

In partnership with The MCS Foundation we've created a consumer-friendly website for homeowners considering getting a heat pump.

Many homeowners struggle to get a clear picture of how much a heat pump will cost them. Our website breaks down the costs involved based on your house type - from installation costs to how much a heat pump might cost to run.

How can we get more children reading? 📚

Reading regularly with young children is an important feature of a positive learning environment. But research from the Institute for Fiscal Studies has found that children were less likely to be read to on a daily basis if their family has a lower income.

We’ve partnered with Early Ideas to understand how to overcome this barrier. Using the TANDEM app - a generative AI-powered story creation tool - we wanted to understand what would be needed to create a high-quality, scalable and low-cost shared reading experience, so more families can benefit from shared reading together.
