Sacred Heart Roehampton

Thank you so much to Wandsworth Fire Service who came to visit Early Years today for their topic on ‘people who help us’. We had a great time sitting in the fire engine and using the power hose and we loved asking questions about your job as firefighters.

It was great to welcome our local M.P., Fleur Anderson, to talk to our Year 6 classes about her work. We hope you enjoyed all the questions and thank you for helping serve the children at lunchtime!

Thank you Father Louis for an uplifting Mass to begin the New Year. We heard in the Gospel about a ‘New Start’ and in this special year of we are excited for all that 2024 has to offer

Happy New Year everyone and welcome back to school. We hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Today our staff began their new term with a reflection on how being imperfect allows for greater opportunities. They heard a story about a cracked pot which delivered water to allow beautiful flowers to grow and they made their own little pots out of plasticine. What do you think of their imperfect creations?

Today we had our End of Term Mass at St Joseph’s Church. It was a wonderful celebration and we loved seeing the beautiful crib. The children read and sang beautifully.

Today is Saint Madeleine Sophie’s Birthday. Today we thank God for our founder, who believed that ALL children have the right to an education ❤️

Thank you to everyone who joined us for carols at Southlands College - Roehampton University. Our 10th year of being warmly invited to sing around the tree at the University! Everyone enjoyed a hot chocolate afterwards. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. 🎄

🌟We are proud to be rated Outstanding in ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’ and ‘Personal Development’ by OFSTED in May 2023. This week we celebrated Anti-Bullying week at school. Children in KS2 wrote poems for Anti-Bullying week. Today they read them out during our Collective Worship.
