There is something deeply healing about seeing people who look like you being celebrated.

Growing up, I often heard, “You’re good-looking for a Tamil.” That’s not a compliment!? Comments like these reveal deep-rooted biases - suggesting that beauty has a narrow standard, one that too often excludes people like me. Like our melanin, our features, and our heritage aren’t something to celebrate.

Brands like are changing that narrative. They honour Tamil beauty in all its richness, embracing our skin, our culture, and our identity with pride. Representation matters. We have always been worthy. Now, the world is finally catching up. 👊🏽💯

She couldn’t remember the last time she smiled in a photo. It had been decades. 😢

Years of being told her case was too complex left her feeling hopeless. She was told her teeth were too protruded, that Invisalign wouldn’t work for her. But I knew we could change that story.

It’s not every day you get to surprise the two people who’ve shaped your entire life! Last weekend, my siblings and I pulled off a celebration for our parents’ milestone birthdays with friends and family flying in from all over the world.

The night was filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt speeches about them. A trip down memory lane reminded us how Mum’s warmth and kindness always made our home a place where anyone was welcome, anytime with food, love, and comfort awaiting them. Dad’s generosity and support have inspired so many. He’s the first to offer a helping hand, advice or simply be the strength others can rely on.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. The night was a true reflection of the love and community they’ve built, and I know it’s one they’ll cherish forever! 😄❤️

A few months ago, I received an unexpected email from the features editor at , expressing an interest in sharing our wedding story. To my surprise, it wasn’t the reception at London’s Savoy Hotel that they wished to highlight, but our traditional Tamil Hindu wedding.
