Good news!

We wanted to share this good news with you that we attached our ladder stabilisers to an old EN131 ladder and got it tested for the new EN131 standard by BSI.

Guess what?
We have done it!

It has passed all the BSI stress and load tests to the new standard without any problem.

So…

Why replace your good condition old EN131 ladders with a new EN131 ladder when you can optimise them with RetraSafe?

The ladder with the RetraSafe safety device attached has passed all the tests which proves that the old ladders can become as good as the new EN131 standards ladder, if not better. A ladder must be able to withstand approximately 275Kg strength test for the EN131 professional standard which it did without slipping on glass surface at BSI.
We know our ladder stabilisers are much stronger and safer as we have also got our stabilisers independently tested at the University of Leeds on stainless steel surfaces up to 2.4 tonne weight. Please watch our video conducting the test on our Youtube channel.

It's so we thought of sharing our experience with you. When we did for our ladder device in , . We Found out that everyone(we spoke to) knew someone (Family, friend/coleague or neighbour) fallen of a ladder.😟

This is one of the reasons why stabilising bar at the bottom of a ladder isn't an ideal solution. It takes too much space when being stored and transported and also requires an ideal flat ground to be used which is not available 90% of the time. Most of the time the ladder manufacturers don't send a ladder with pre-fitted stabilising bar due to logistical problem, which proves my point. A lot of ladder users do to the long bar is exactly what I witnessed here, a ladder on top of a van without the bar which makes it even more dangerous than a standard ladder. The mud stuck in the ladder stile is the proof that it has been used without proper grip.
Only thing what this bar does is that it gives a bigger ladder base for sideways stability but there are other solutions out there which are more practical than this.
