A story of OLM Network Solutions told by a girl….. (No confusing technical jargon😂)

If you’re already following this page- you know I run a hair & beauty salon. For my business I have a landline. This landline is on all of my business cards, appointment cards, social media and website.

Ages ago me and nick were talking about my grandma funnily enough and how she has a mobile that she can’t use. Nick said eventually (2025) they plan to get rid of all landlines, (this is what you may see being referred to as “the big switch off”). The way my mind works I went into overdrive worrying about my business.

Last year, nick changed my phone to an internet phone, this again has a fancy name i cannot remember but has allowed me to keep my landline. It also has added benefits for me. I don’t work as much as I used to, the girls in salon are all run off their feet. Any voicemails left on the salon phone also come through to me as an email so I can deal with them even when I’m not in work to try help the team. For me this also helps with my anxiety, I can keep track of what is going on- I know if we have any messages left over the weekend… any cancellations for the following week.

Nick can fit phone lines for any business, school, doctors etc… and is always willing to give advice. He lives with me so he’s used to having to simplify what things mean 😂

Please don’t hesitate to contact him for any advice. I hope this post helps with what he does, it’s also the only thing I understand about his business so you won’t see me doing a post about terminating anything, CAT5 or fibre or anything else he’s ever shared haha
