There’s no way around hard work. Embrace it. You have to put in the hours because there is always something you can improve on

Adversity causes some people to break; others to break records

If you are losing faith in humanity, go and watch a marathon. If you are losing faith in yourself, go and run one.

Another great race today Manchester 10km

Came in second after a great and fast race! Myself and David weir started off strong and immediately went to the front. A few obstacles were in store for us. For example, at mile 2, there was traffic cones with a red ribbon stretched out across the road acting as a road block the the race that was starting after us! David and me got tangled in it for a few seconds before finally breaking free!

It was a very good race for me, another podium finish and a 22 seconds course PB for me

And of course a massive thank you to & for making this all possible for me

Hot, sticky and humid today

It’s not the heat that kills you, just the damn humidity ☀️

This kind of stickiness reminds me of Atlanta, Georgia 2018!

provide essential mental fuel, highlighting that 26.2 miles is a test of willpower, endurance, and self-discovery rather than just physical strength. Key themes include persevering when it hurts, finding joy in the struggle, and honoring the months of training, making them perfect for race day motivation

The human body has limitations; the human spirit is boundless

You don’t have to be so tough that it doesn’t hurt—you just have to be tough enough not to quit

I’m still on such a high from seeing the IPC world rankings this week

5th in the world after years chasing the top 10 in the T54 category

I’ve spent many seasons not even in the world rankings and chasing a top 10 position, it feels like an age

For the last 5 months or so, I have been training so much differently. Every push, every training session, every gym visit has had a purpose. Even down to the fine details of my diet and fuelling had to change and every meal also had a purpose

Moral of the story: with the right goals, the right mindset, the right people and a little bit of discipline you really can change things around

Three marathons in under three weeks

; 4th place 1:40 April 12th

; 6th place 1:26 20th april (new PB)

; 12th place ; 1:35 26th april

Lots of mishaps, challenges and memories but I left everything out there on the course

Between the planes, ferries and car journeys. Flying over 20,000 miles, driving over 600 and having a mouse 🐁 in my room, I completed the challenge I set myself and I’m very proud of myself for doing what I set out to do

Summer is now almost here and I’m looking forward to training hard and doing it all over again in the autumn 🍂

Today I completed my 11th consecutive London marathon

Luck wasn’t on my size today due to a mechanical break. At Mile 4 I was almost involved in a crèche that caused me to go up into two wheels, when I fell back into all three wheels I heard a loud crack coke from the racing chair. I carried on but hit a speed bump at mile 20 which snapped my seat in half, so I had to push the last 10km with no seat

Now is the time for a long summer of training!

The start of the elite men’s field at the 130th Boston marathon

Possibly the strongest elite men’s race I’ve ever taken part in, including the Paralympic Games!

for those who don’t know . The Boston Marathon starts at the top of a very very sharp and long downhill. This is the only part of any race where I am so scared to the point I’m actually trembling on the start line.

I’ve done this race many times before, but the first 5 km is crazy fast and even crazier dangerous. 41 wheelchairs exceeding speeds of 50 miles an hour plus and all within inches of each other

Also I would like to extend my gratitude to & ness for making this able to happen with their support
