Brighton half marathon completed in aid of MacMillan Darren completed the Brighton Half Marathon in aid of MacMillan last weekend in his personal best of 1.48.34 (previous best was 1.51.01). En route he also broke his best 10k time (passing in 50.40 in comparison to his previous best of 51.01).

Darren's "academic granddaughter" defends her thesis Ellie, the first PhD student of Dr Ben Skinner, one of Darren's former PhD students, successfully defended her PhD thesis last week. This makes her Darren's third "academic granddaughter"!

Darren’s annual charity push starts here...
Darrens annual charity push starts here. This year, Darren is raising money for MacMillan cancer care. This is close to Darrens heart, as they have looked after his dear mum for many years and she’s still going strong.
Today, it’s the Canterbury 10 mile and he is working up to the Brighton half marathon next month, a challenge he completed last year. He is also doing a virtual walk of the UK (which is a little over 1000 miles) which he will finish April/May time. Please consider donating using the link below.
