Back to rehearsals - new tune - sight reading!! We have a couple of empty chairs if you play a woodwind or brass instrument 🎷 🎺 and want to join a friendly wind band on a Tuesday night please message me for more details.
Whilst most folk relax during the holidays musicians find a way to come together to play even more music together. Huge thanks to all of our students, it’s been a fun year with lots of opportunities. We re- open to do it all again. Key dates for 2026 so far are - Jan 11th - new saxophone group rehearse, May 29th - Whit Friday & Jan 5th our rehearsals resume for the Spring Concert. Look out for some changes to our ensembles offer and a couple of very exciting collaborations to share with you all too. Merry Christmas everyone ⛄️

Announcement 📣
We have a lot of saxophone players across both our school lessons and our various weekly ensembles. As you know I would love to bring you all together regularly for a massed play of saxophone ensemble music and in the future add some workshops from saxophone colleagues of mine.
I am planning to hold these initially once a half term on a Sunday afternoon with a view to running them monthly. This is in addition to our 13 regular weekly ensembles.
The first one will be on Sunday 11th January from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.
2.15pm Arrival, set up & coffee
2.30pm session 1
3.45pm break
4.05pm session 2
5.20pm break
5.40pm play through of session favourites
6.10pm short showcase to parents / family / friends.
This is suitable for any saxophone player above grade 1 standard, I will differentiate parts to accommodate all standards.
There will be a small cost for the session of £4 per player to cover music heating and lighting.
There will be a pre loved music sale on the day plus our usual tuck shop will be available.
