I told you there were some wonderful classes coming up this summer at Sussex Prairies- check this one out being lead by Amanda Duke Artist - its gonna be a winner !

A new workshop which could be completed in one day or two days. The aim of the course is to createea stash of papers or fabrics. Papers will be supplied in the course cost and for those wishing to use fabric then bring your own supplies of repurposed fabric. A fun day printmaking with found objects, plant material and vegetables slices. Create A1 decorative papers for collage or for wrapping or thin and fat quarters for fabric projects. DM me for further information.

Work by five of the artists who will be exhibiting in ‘Rooted’ Sussex Prairies in the summer. These pieces below were shown in the exhibition ‘Finished’ at the Kaleidoscope Art Gallery in Sevenoaks during January and February this year. Artists worked in pairs and donated a piece of their work to each other. This could be finished or altered in any way the recipient chose in line with their current practice. They were made in 2021 and, naturally, most reflected the times we were going through in one way or another.

We cannot wait for these talented artists to join us in the garden this summer !

Val and Lesley returned yesterday , to beautiful blue skies, and to continue building our bird survey list for our Sussex Prairies prairie wild landscape .The list grows with many new sightings of newcomers including a Grey Wagtail and a single Snipe . Pheasants, Linnets and Fieldfares were new for the survey too! Thank you to Val for a lovely photo of the grey wagtail on the hunt for tasty snacks .
