Central Piling

On national Christmas jumper day there were some totally tasty Yuletide tops on display at head office.

Who could resist this? Meet the gorgeous Harley, a two-year-old Sproodle belonging to our procurement manager Ashley Drew. It’s going to be hard to get any work done in head office today! Just look at that face and how cute is her hi-vis!

They said the new tablets would be a bitter pill to swallow! But our site supervisor Chris Spurrier has taken the medicine well and got to grips with using the new “Big change Tablets”. These will further improve our quality control and productivity!

Getting into the festive spirit! Our Christmas tree takes Yuletide pride of place in reception at head office. Three weeks and counting!

Look at the latest additions to our plant department! We now have 5 of our own MEWPs (Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, for the not-so-familiar) and 1 concrete drum. They won’t stay that clean for long but right now they're gorgeous aren’t they?

Our soil investigation rig and two of our SF50 rigs are pictured at work on a fledgling education campus at Northstowe, Longstanton. We have a total of 4 rigs on site, helping to complete 1,372 piles – a big project!

Our operations supervisor Lee Durrant takes a daily briefing back to nature, to a park across the road from our site in Hackney. In the background are two of our SF 65s ready to install 900mm secant piles and 450mm bearing piles

Apologies to our Sams (we have more than 1!). It was Sam Nicole, not Sam Cabbani, who raised £130 for the British Heart Foundation. Very good effort nevertheless.

10 colleagues who recently cycled 50 miles of the Suffolk coast to raise money for charities have realised a total of £2,795 to date!
This includes £570 for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital by our contracts director Roger Cox, £1,200 for Action Medical Research by Chris Dormandy, £750 for Children with Cancer UK by George Ralph, £145 for Cancer Research by Toddy, and £130 for the British Heart Foundation by Sam Cabbani.

10 members of staff will cycle 50 miles of the Suffolk coast next Friday (Sept 14) to raise money for charities including Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital which saved the life of the son of our contracts director Roger Cox.
He said: "It's that time of year when we get together as a team at Central Piling and raise money for our own chosen charities. This is our 3rd year and each year we raise thousands of pounds for various charities, from alzheimer's, children's cancer charities, cystic fibrosis, dementia and my chosen charity Great Ormond Street. A very big welcome goes to our very first dedicated plant trailer. It's going to be taking all our mini rigs, mobile elevating work platforms and heavy plant to wherever they’re needed. So it’s going to be very busy! In this case it’s the SM 12 on board.
