We're currently taking refuge from the rain and getting ready to embark on an exciting evening of fell running with the boys and the CVFR Juniors. 🏃♂️⛰️
While we brace ourselves for whatever weather the valley decides to throw at us, we thought it was a great opportunity to let you know we've made some adjustments to the booking system for Nutclough.
Following feedback from our regular guests, we've introduced hourly bookings, giving people more flexibility and removing the need to commit to an entire morning or afternoon.
Nutclough is perfect for:

🤝 One-to-one meetings
📚 Quiet, focused work
The room includes:
✅ Private side entrance away from the main office space
✅ Privacy curtain
✅ Soundproofed room
✅ Comfortable sofa and chairs
✅ Desk and seating
✅ Full-fibre internet
✅ Complimentary tea and coffee
✅ Waiting area in the kitchen
Pricing:
⏰ 1 hour – £12.50
🌤️ Half day – £40.00 (9am–1pm or 1:30pm–5:30pm)
📅 Full day – £80.00 (9am–5:30pm)
🔁 Need the space regularly? We also offer a 20% discount on recurring bookings, making it even more affordable for therapists, coaches, mentors and other regular users.

Back in the Stables today after a brilliant long weekend up in Scotland — and just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the birthday well-wishes. 🎂
Saturday was Ben Nevis, and the weather was polar opposites to what it's been like down here. At the bottom of the valley, 15 degrees and drizzly. On the summit — snow-covered, -1°C, 45mph wind chill, and thick fog. We were navigating by cairns and checking bearings to stay on track. Quite the adventure. 🏔️❄️
We'd planned to tackle the Ring of Steall on Sunday, but after seeing everyone's pictures of sunshine, ice creams, and paddling pools back home, and thw Scottish weather forecast looking pretty grim, we made a swift executive decision — headed back a day early and squeezed in Striding Edge and Helvellyn in glorious sunshine on the drive home instead. No regrets whatsoever. ☀️
All in all, a fantastic birthday weekend. Now back to reality — welcoming in Natalie and her crew of budding fashion designers for the rest of the week. We're excited to see what they create 🧵

Happy birthday Matt! 🎉
As it's his birthday today, it felt like the perfect time to post this and get the ball rolling introducing the team in a little more detail.
He's heading up to Fort William this weekend with his old uni mates to climb Ben Nevis and tackle a few Munros the following day. Hopefully he'll be back at his desk in one piece on Tuesday 😬🏔️

We're making the most of the sunshine while it lasts down at Spring Grove Stables today. 🌿☀️
Step outside and there are wildflowers growing out of the crevices in the drystone walls, insects weaving through the leaves, and the river shimmering under the old stone bridge. It's one of those mornings that reminds you exactly why you'd choose to work here. We're so lucky to be surrounded by so much nature ♥️
We've just ordered our outdoor seating which should be with us in the next few days — and we've already tested the connection outside. Still 300mbps through the thick stone walls, so very soon you'll be able to work under the trees with the sound of the river in the background. ☕💻
Here's a reminder of what we offer at Spring Grove Stables:
🖥️ Dedicated desks — available on a monthly basis, 2, 3 or 5 days a week. Your own permanent desk in a beautiful, calm space.
🚪 Meeting rooms — Nutclough and Salem are available to hire. Perfect for therapy sessions, interviews, photoshoots (equipment available if needed) training days, and team meetings.
🎉 Venue hire — Crown Works, our largest space, is available for events, workshops, classes, and pop-ups in the evenings and at weekends.

We held our second Sew School class last week — and it was a brilliant evening. 🧵
Five new students came along, we got the kettle on, and spent a bit of time swapping sewing stories before getting the machines set up. We started on scrap fabric to get comfortable, then moved on to cutting out the bag pieces — fabric, lining, the lot.
Step by step, everyone built their own bag from scratch.
The best moment? Watching people's faces when they realised what they'd made. Every single one of them was surprised by how professional it looked — and honestly, they should be proud. Beautiful work all round.
A lovely way to spend an evening. Good people, good chat, and something genuinely useful to take home. 🛍️

Massive congratulations to Natalie, who just completed the 30-mile Calderdale Way Ultra! 🏅
It must have been beautiful out on the route today, but gruelling in the exposed sections across the tops i'm sure — the temperature dropped sharply as the sun went down, and she finished perfectly in time for sunset .
We couldn't be prouder. Well done Nat! 🧡
This has to be one of our favourite times of year down in our little corner of the valley 🥰
Watching the trees come back to life in the morning sunshine — the dull browns of the hillside gradually transforming into a sea of vibrant green, almost day by day 🌿
And while the town starts to fill up with visitors, down here you can just hear the water off the rocks in the river and the birds singing.
On a day like today, there's nowhere we'd rather be ♥️
Natalie (aka The Style Editors) is starting Sew School next Thursday evening down here at Spring Grove Stables.
This session is an absolute beginner sewing class, focusing on getting started — from threading the machine and sewing in straight lines, through to making your own lined tote bag.

🕖 7–9pm
💷 £40 (including materials)
If you have your own machine, please do bring it along. If not, just let us know in advance — we have a limited number available to loan.
