It is with great sadness that we said good bye to Janice yesterday.

If you were lucky enough to meet her you will understand how much of a special little lady she was.

She was always up to mischief and constantly screaming at the top of her voice but most importantly she was full of love.

She was truly 1 in a million.

There’s going to be a little Jan shaped hole in our lives and she’s going to be greatly missed.

We have all heard the saying “you are what you eat” but have you thought about this ? …. “you are what you think”
Sometimes we get repetitive and unhelpful thoughts and this is 100% normal however we need to learn to recognise and question these thoughts instead of accepting them as fact. We don’t have to believe every thought that passes through or our heads and remember that some thoughts are simply lies.

A limiting belief is an unhelpful or untrue thought that can block your ability to progress. It is something you believe that may not be true.
I work to combat limiting beliefs with positive thoughts. For me, it's about recognising negative, unhelpful thoughts and looking for the positive truths and facts.

* I am strong. Look at all I have accomplished. Fact
* I can lose weight at my age.Fact.
* I can be consistent. Fact.
* I do have the time to exercise. Fact.

Consistency is key. Consistency solves most issues in the long term. It's not about pushing through pain or working beyond your capacity, but figuring out how to continue to move forward safely and sustainably, despite the circumstances.

Instead of focusing on what you can't do, get creative about what you can do and prove to it your self that these thoughts are lies.

When trying to break the cycle of limiting beliefs you will experience resistance.
* I would strength train, but I’m not strong.
* I would eat a healthy breakfast, but I don't have time
* I would get up early to workout, but I'm not a morning person
* I would eat healthier, but I have bad genetics, so why bother?
* I would go to the gym, but I don't fit in there.
* I can't lose weight no matter what I do.
* I'd work out, but my family is not supportive.
* I could try to lose weight, but I hate to eat healthily.

To others it may sound like excuses however internally it feels real because it’s based on those limiting beliefs. Resistance pops up in your brain before you have time to consider it, then you immediately accept it as a fact but how would you act if that wasn't true?

Cut the fat 8 weeks results

-3.8kg
- 4.1% Body Fat
-4.5cm Waist
- 4cm Chest

I am absolutely ecstatic with the results I have achieved in 8 weeks. I am now at a point where I am leaner than I was in my twenties and it feels great 😀.

To be honest the biggest changes are the ones that you cannot see. My mindset is now completely different. I feel much more confident and my self esteem is growing daily.

When I set out on this journey to change my body composition I felt like I had something to prove to myself. I had helped hundreds of people achieve the bodies of their dreams but never fully committed to doing it for myself. I had always started but never followed through always self sabotaging when I started to see results. Well not this time !!! I will be seeing this through all the way and I will be achieving my goals because that’s what I deserve.

It doesn’t stop here this is merely the start I have put myself in a great position to succeed with the next stage.

My daily calories will now go up to my maintenance of 2900 per day so that I can fully enjoy the festive period and then I will be back to it as of 2nd January.

I cannot wait to see what 2022 brings !!

Cut the fat week 7 results !!

I’m not going to lie last week was a tricky one. I found myself tired and lacking in motivation. I got things done but not with my usual intensity and it shows in the results.

It was a difficult week for a number of reasons but in all honesty considering where I was this time last year I feel really proud of how I coped and the fact that I managed to maintain.

This coming week is the last one and the plan is to go out hard. I am absolutely thrilled with what I have achieved so far and see any extra changes this week as an absolute bonus.

Cut the fat week 6 results

Last week was a little bit mixed. I felt very up and down with my energy levels. Some training sessions where amazing others where hard to get through.

On Sunday I felt like I needed a rest so I gave myself the day off. No gym, no tracking of calories and no work and I have to say it felt fantastic.

I was straight back to it with the nutrition on Monday but still felt I needed an extra day to recover my energy levels fully so took yesterday off the gym.

I’m happy with the results 😀 my chest is looking much better … the man b***s are starting to disappear 😆

Just 2 weeks left now and I have to say I can’t wait to starting eating a little more.

Cut the fat week 5 results

Last week was absolutely smashing everything is really starting to come together now. The calorie deficit is no longer effecting my energy levels and as a result my strength is back .. I even managed to push out a couple of personal bests in the gym 😃💪🏻.

No changes to my training plan this week and I will be sticking to 2200 CALS per day.

I am now really starting to see a difference in the mirror which is giving me additional motivation and pushing me to work harder in the gym.

Just 3 weeks left and I cannot wait to hit a maintenance phase over Christmas 🎅🎄

Cut the fat week 4 review

I had a great week last week. Everything just seemed to come together. My training was at the right intensity my nutrition was on point and my energy levels were the best they have been in weeks.

I feel like I am finally getting used to the calorie deficit and my body is responding as it should.

In terms of results I am very happy with the body fat loss and the difference in my waist. Even before the tape measure came out I knew I had lost cm’s because my clothes have been fitting differently.

My confidence and self esteem are at an all time high and to be honest this is better than any weight loss.

Today marks the half way point in my cutting phase and it’s time to step things up a notch so I will be adding an additional 20 mins of daily low intensity cardio.

Cut the fat week 3 results.

Last week was definitely a mixed one. My training and energy were absolutely on point however my nutrition could have been better.

Although the numbers haven’t changed much I don’t feel too disappointed. I had a number of events last week that normally would have challenged my mental health and in turn my eating behaviour however I managed to cope with them much better than I would have in the recent past. I know that I had more untracked meals than normal but it was more important to enjoy my time with my family.

Ultimately I can see a difference in the mirror and how my clothes fit and I am happy.😃

There will be no changes this week and my calories will remain at 2200 per day.

Cut the fat week 2 review

Again I am very happy with the results from last week. I am starting to see a difference in the mirror and my clothes are fitting much better. I am particularly happy with how my chest is looking. I have always struggled a little with gynecomastia (man b***s) so very happy to see them getting smaller.

I am not to worried about the body fat reduction only being 0.2%. Body fat scales are not 100% accurate and we are dealing with small margins so I am sure that there will be more of a change at the end of this week.

Last week was far harder than the previous. Week 1 felt like a doddle I had loads of energy and motivation however last week was much more difficult.

I had food cravings everyday and towards the end of the week I felt like I had no energy and it was difficult to train. I felt a little under the weather so it could just be that or it might have been the calorie deficit I’m not sure but I feel much better today and fingers crossed my usual energy will return this week.
