Bit of a journey for this job to help a mate of mine out, all the way to Bath to upgrade an old fuseboard to a brand new unit with full RCBO protection — much safer, tidier, and fully compliant with the latest regs.

While I was there, I also swapped out all their tired, discoloured socket and switch faceplates for sleek, modern ones. It’s amazing what a difference it makes to the look (and safety) of a home!

Dropped in to sort out some electrics in a storage cupboard for a local business. Over the years, things had been added bit by bit, and it was starting to show — messy wiring, overloaded sockets, and no clear control over the lighting.

Ended up fully tidying the wiring, installing a grid switch for easier control, and upgrading the fuseboard while I was there. The existing lighting circuit wasn’t compliant with current regs, so that got rewired properly too.

All sorted now — much neater, safer, and way easier for the staff to use day to day.

Here’s a recent kitchen job that’s almost finished – swipe to see the before and after pics.

The difference some lighting and socket placements can make is unreal. The old setup had a single central light and not much else going on. We swapped that out for new LED spotlights in brushed chrome which instantly made the space brighter and more modern.

We also moved and added sockets and moved the isolators from above worktop into the cupboards instead to suit how the kitchen’s actually being used now – loads more practical, especially with all the gadgets people have these days.

A full tidy-up of the wiring behind the scenes too, so everything’s safe and up to standard.

Spent the day in a garage fitting two extra sockets to give the client more flexibility with power. Ran everything in conduit for a clean, tidy finish and did a few sets to neaten the install properly.

Also had to sort out some issues with the existing setup — found a failed switch and some incorrect wiring that needed putting right before anything else could be done safely.

Finished off by installing a security floodlight to the front of the property — all in, no damage to the exterior, and a much brighter, safer entrance now.
