Celeste Wathan Family - 21 Challenge 12/03/2021

Stefan Wathan and his family are friends of Appcessible.

They are taking time out right now to support Down's Syndrome Oxford.

If you are able, can you support them too (or an association in your local area)?

If not, do you have challenge ideas for them?

From the family:

Can you support us in raising money for Down's Syndrome Oxford? Their usual fundraising efforts have been restricted this year and our goal is to complete a challenge under the theme of 21.
We thought we should attempt 21 mini-challenges between Feb 21st and March 21st which is World Down Syndrome Day. We'll post photos and video of our successes or failures.

Your support will be greatly appreciated by us and families benefiting from the work that DSO do.
Many thanks, Stefan, Roberta, Thomas & Bella.

Fantastic work via Remap!

‘What better gift can you give than the gift of laughter?"

Jane contacted Remap to see if we could invent something for her daughter, Jessie. Jessie loves to be on the move and spends a lot of time in her wheelchair. Could Remap help her to move in a new and different way?

One of our volunteer makers came up with this invention which converts Jessie’s wheelchair into a rocking chair. Once in place on the rockers, the wheelchair is secured by retaining pins and Jessie can be gently rocked back and forth.

The family sent us this video to show how happy they are with Jessie's new toy. We think her huge smile says it all!‘
