Back in early 2023, roadworks on Hele Road uncovered a hidden piece of Exeter’s transport history - the old tram tracks beneath the modern road surface.

This was once part of the tram route towards St David’s Station, with trams running through Hele Road before Exeter’s tram system finally closed in 1931.

I managed to film a short walk along the exposed tracks before they were covered over again. A rare glimpse of the city’s past, still sitting just beneath the tarmac.

Hidden in plain sight beside Exeter Cathedral…

Today I got a rare chance to step inside the Medieval Hall on Cathedral Close - a space usually closed to the public. With its 15th-century hammer-beam ceiling, carved details and centuries of history, it feels like one of Exeter’s best-kept secrets.

Amazing to see another piece of the city’s medieval past up close.

Just casually turning Exeter into a 70s cop show chase scene to simulate Sabotage by the Beastie Boys 🕶️🏃‍♂️ Couldn’t use the proper track as it was blocked, go and watch their original video and play ii in the background while watching this
