Next project, let's see what I can do with these. Also shows why I don't recommend leather for bike seats, these seats have got wet and the leather has shrunk splitting the seams, the leather has also gone hard as a cornflake box and is starting to crumble.

You may of heard of the term "tuck and roll", either for pleats or interior, this is how it's done.Takes a little longer than just topstitched lines but looks really clean and luxurious.Often used in 40's, 50's and 60's cars but no reason not to use elsewhere.

Next job for a very fussy customer.....me! I've just added some graphics to my vespa gts and the red stitching on the seats didn't match the blue or yellow, so recover both single and twin seats plus the backrest pad so it does match. Suede effect vinyl top with coffee bean textured sides. Will be offering the old covers for a bargain price soon.

Something from the end of last year. Lambretta seat and spotlight covers with custom embroidery. I'm looking forwards to showing Julians finished scooter.

A bit of diamond stitching and template making today. If I'm likely to make more than a couple of these seats then I'll transfer the template to card. I write on any measurements and tips to make future covers easier and consistent.

Some of you may have already seen this one. Vespa super corsa seat, basketweave sides and back, grained black top with double stitched diamonds and blue piping and feature stripe. An improvement on what I started with.

Finished Lexmoto seat.I even impressed myself with the alignment of the pad diamonds to the seat diamonds. Again a nice tidy finish to the underside and stainless staples.

I normally handsew all my decorative panels instead of buying ready sewn material. Many reasons why....truly custom made with choice of vinyls and thread, I use 10mm foam whereas premade is normally thinner and so looks flatter, plus generally it looks nicer. This will be double sewn for double diamonds.
