Feels good, doesn’t it? Like a warm hug for your mind 🤍🎧
It’s bilateral sounds (or bilateral stimulation).
How it works:
Sound that gently alternates between your left ear - right ear - left - right.
Why it can feel so calming:
When your brain has a simple rhythm to follow, your body often gets the message:
✨ “I’m safe.”
✨ “I can relax.”
✨ “I can focus on the present moment.”
I honestly loooove it. Could listen to it forever.
A lot of people notice bilateral songs help them feel more:
• grounded
• relaxed in the body
• focused (especially when your mind is racing)
• less “on edge” after a long day
How to try it:
🎧 Put on headphones
or
📱 Turn your phone sideways
😮💨 Close your eyes + breathe slow
🕯️ Listen for 1–3 minutes and notice what shifts
Save this for as a little treat for the next time you feel overstimulated 🫶
Comment “BILATERAL” and I’ll send you my favourite track + a 60-second nervous system reset to go with it ✨

If you know me, you’ll know that I’m inspired by the Blue Zones lifestyle. Blue Zones are often talked about in terms of food.
Olive oil.
Beans.
Vegetables.
A glass of wine.
But the deeper pattern is something else.
People in the world’s longest-living communities don’t just eat well. They eat together.
Meals are slow, tables are full. Conversations continue long after the plates are empty.
This is where connection happens. And connection, it turns out, is one of the strongest predictors of health and longevity.
Before you scroll away, pause for a moment.
When was the last time you shared a slow meal with people you love?
Save this as a reminder to make space for it.
And if you’d like to experience a moment to pause and connect, join us for our Blue Zones inspired afternoon in Edinburgh on Sunday 26 April. Comment info and I’ll send more details.

Hey lovelies, for those who asked about the Blue Zones inspired event in Edinburgh - it’s happening on Sunday 26th April.
Someone has just pointed out that the poster said 25th.
There are still spaces, so if you fancy an afternoon to slow down, learn about the habits that support the longest living communities and a hands on cooking class & shared meal, book your spot.

Question I ask myself every day:
What does my body need right now?
Especially when I start to feel a little stretched.
Sometimes it’s a glass of water.
Sometimes it’s stepping away from the desk or stepping outside for a minute of fresh air.
And sometimes it’s a simple 2-minute nervous system reset like this, to help my body come back to calm.
Cross your arms over your chest and gently tap from side to side in a slow rhythm.
If you hum at the same time, it makes it even more powerful.
Small practices like this can help signal safety to the body and bring the nervous system back to calm.
Save this for the next time you need a gentle reset.
And if evenings are when your mind starts racing, Dm CORTISOL and I’ll share my 10-minute evening routine to help lower cortisol and prepare your body for deep, restorative sleep.
