Well mosaic restoration

We recently had the pleasure of working with @joannakessel on her mosaic installation at Glasgow Cathedral. St Mungo’s well has been brought back to life by Joanna and her colleagues at @aproximaarts The mosaic was made form nearly a thousand glass tiles, hand blown in venice and brushed with 24-carat gold leaf. Each was then cut, shaped and placed by hand. We were delighted to be on hand to assist with the fixing process and see Joanna’s vision brought to life. We attended a Well Concert on Friday where we viewed the final installation, followed by a haunting concert in darkness.
