https://www.mindfulnessassociation.net/course/31-day-challenge-online/
For many the summer months are a welcome relief from the cold, wet and often gloomy weather (especially here in the UK) of winter and spring. With the summer on the horizon, we are inviting you to join our July Charity Mindfulness Challenge so you can bring mindful awareness to the joys of the season
This is an opportunity to boost your mindfulness practice whilst raising money for charity!
Every morning over July an email with a 10-15 minute mindfulness practice with a summer twist will arrive in your inbox led by a Mindfulness Association or Everyone Project Tutor. Practices include reflecting on happy summer memories, mindful movement including yoga and qigong, cooling self compassion, mindful barefoot walking, mindful paddling and kindness practice whilst taking in the warmth of the sun.
About the Everyone Project
The Everyone Project is committed to offering evidence based mindfulness courses, such as the eight week Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) to people who are not otherwise able to access a mindfulness course.
In particular we want to help disadvantaged and isolated groups, and those living with multiple stressors. We do this because we are passionate about the power of Mindfulness to empower all in our society to flourish and achieve their true potential.

FREE MINDFULNESS CALENDAR:
"TURN OFF, TUNE IN" - a month of digital detox 📵📵
We spend increasing amounts of our life looking at screens, be it for work, entertainment, to shop or pay bills. So much time on a device (often simply distracting ourselves or fending off moments of boredom) takes us away from the present moment, robs us of the depth and variety of seeing life with a beginner’s mind.
This month our calendar is an invitation to put down your screens and engage directly with our experience, something that has the added bonus of occurring as we move into summer and more clement weather! Put down the device, look up and enjoy the moment!

The mind wanders. It’s what it does. In mindfulness the invitation is to notice this habit, without judgement, and refocus on the present moment. Over and over again!
It all sounds tranquil, and somewhat easy. However, the wandering mind is not so always so easy and tranquil. As the psychologists Killingsworth and Gilbert quipped, “the wandering mind is an unhappy mind”
Whilst glib, it does contain an important truth. When our mind wanders, we are more likely to get caught up in things that we see as worrying, threatening, unresolved or unpleasant. Once caught up in these thoughts, usually about the past of potential future, they are the things that shape our mood, our behaviour and how we rete to ourselves and others.
Mindfulness allows us to recognise this “mental time travel”, to observe those patterns of projecting into an unknown future or ruminating on a past we cannot change, and to let them go. We label the cascades of ruminative and panicky thoughts as “thinking” and gently reconnect with the reality of the present moment. Slow, patient work that over time reduces our habits of projection and rumination and helps us be calmer and happier.
Mindfulness is often mis-sold as a panacea, something that will banish depression and anxiety, leaving the practitioner a zen bubble floating on a cloudless sky. If you expect this then you will be disappointed.
But what mindfulness can give you is profound. It allows you to step outside the projections and ruminations that hold us emotional prisoners. It gives you resilience and the ability to let go of that which causes unnecessary suffering. This is so much bigger than a few moments of relaxation. This is life changing.
Sharing Your Treasure Online Course
15th June – 13th July
With Vin Harris and Kristine Janson.
At the heart of mindfulness teaching is authenticity and vulnerability. This is because being mindful is about connecting to the present moment no matter what, and teaching mindfulness is teaching from the heart, without a prescribed script.
However, finding our authentic voice can be difficult. Finding out where we want to share the practice and who we want to teach can be difficult and we can find ourselves treading water rather than swimming towards the land we want to reach.
The Sharing Your Treasure course is an opportunity to reflect deeply on the heart treasure we each have to share. Participants will identify the audiences they are genuinely called to serve and how to connect with them. As our unique Karmic Assignment is recognised, then the most direct and authentic way to turn aspirations into action naturally presents itself.

Today’s short practice is an invitation to notice the good in our life.
Whilst that might not seem like much, the simple act of paying attention to that which is good can be revolutionary! Over time it counters our evolutionary negativity bias that sees us drawn towards that in our life that we see as problematic or worrying. Consciously taking in the good helps us create emotional balance and trains us to notice those wonderful moments that we can so easily miss.
So why not join Jacky today as she guides us through this mini meditation and pause to reflect on the moments of connection, joy and wonder that can so easily slip through the fingers of awareness!
This short practice comes from the Living Well to Die Well - The Mindful Art of Living Fully - an online weekend course - 30-31 May.
Click her for more info on the course https://www.mindfulnessassociation.net/course/living-well-to-die-well/
As we move towards the end of the weekend, thoughts turn to the upcoming week. We often prioritise our responsibilities, and whilst this is important, we need to remember to prioritise our own needs for rest and recuperation.
Why not make a daily meditation part of your rest and self-care routine? We have FREE daily guided meditations, every Monday to Friday at 10:30 & 19:00 (UTC).
Meditating in a group can deepen your practice, create a sense of shared experience and common humanity, whilst helping you feel supported and connected—even from afar.
Take a breath. Show up as you are. And reconnect with the present moment—together.
