Don’t assume your dog will generalize what he learns at home, to the very different situations he encounters in new locations. He won’t. Retrain all the skills your dog has learned at home, in each new environment he encounters.
Proof his recall, his loose lead walking, and other basis skills, against the presence of other dogs and people. The time spent on this stage of training is worth its weight in gold.

Not every dog works for food. Some dogs prefer grooming, toys, or playtime. You’ll need to figure out what your dog sees as a high-value reward, so that you can get them focused and motivated.
